Today I did a paraffin wax pedicure treatment on another student who is currently studying to become a nurse. This was an assessment and I was so pleased with how well I did. I love doing pedicure service and I feel very competent in applying the paraffin wax.

Today I did a summative assessment on a basic pedicure. I felt I did extremely well as I really enjoy doing pedicures and manicures in comparison to other treatments. I feel this is the area I excell in best.

Today I had a waxing class and I did an eyebrow maintainance on a client. I was really delighted with the result I achieved and I am feeling more confident in performing this service.

Today I did my last manicure assessment using paraffin wax and I did a french polish. I was very impressed with my performance and felt I did really well in this service.

Today I did an assessment on eyebrow waxing which I felt went really well and I felt confident in performing service. I also think that I did an excellent job of the clients eyebrows.

Today I learned about white blood cells in Anatomy and Physology which I found very interesting. I also practised some day and evening make up in Facials class in the afternoon.

Today I did a manicure assessment using heated mitts, warm oil and a dark polish. I felt the treatment went really well and I was very pleased with result.

Today I practiced pedicure in class this morning. I did a paraffin wax treatment with a light and french polish. I really enjoyed doing the pedicure and I loved putting ont he paraffin wax. Only thing was it was a bit messy taking it off again.

Today I did a pedicure on a client and I really enjoyed doing the treatment. The client gave me some lovely feedback and this has really helped boost my confidence. I also gave myself a shock this afternoon when I passed my make up exam with 100%. I am so pleased with my achievements today and after I had a rubbish weekend being not well today has certainly made up for it.

This week is the festival of learning in the college and I did a fake bake course today which was thoroughly enjoyable. I got a free tanning kit and a certificate. Can't wait to practice at home!!!

Today I learned who to apply false eyelashes (strip and individuals). It was quite difficult as I found out that you need to have a great deal of patience which I feel I don't have when I'm learning something new.

Today I did a test on the muscle system in Anatomy and Physology. I found the test quite straightforward. In the afternoon I had facials and make up where we got a study guide to help us with our exam on 19th March 2012.

5th March 2012

Today I passed my manicure with buff assessment and I am so pleased. I really enjoyed doing the treatment and my client thoroughly enjoyed it as well. This afternoon we did some theory on facials and make up. I got some good information and I plan to read over my notes that I have taken. I have an end of unit test on muscles tomorrow so I will be studying tonight.

Monday 20th February

Today I did a basic manicure on a girl from another class. I am feeling confident in performing a manicure and I enjoyed performing treatment. This afternoon we did a work book on job skills in essential skills and have to do a CV for our homework.

2nd February 2012

Today I had a waxing class and I did an eyebrow wax which didn't go too well. I feel I need a bit more practice at this. I couldn't wait to get home after class. In the afternoon my friend came round and I tinted her eyebrows and also removed a few stray hairs from her eyebrows. I felt more confident doing this than the waxing. I think I need more practice.

Today in college I had anatomy and physology class in the morning where I learned about all the muscles in the body. I find this subject very interesting and always enjoy this class.  In the afternoon I had facials/make up which was excellent as I relaxed whilst getting a lovely facial and a makeover in the afternoon.

Today I did a basic manicure with a light polish on a girl from another class. The treatment went really well and I was pleased with how well the treatment went. I also had a facial from a student in another class and it was really relaxing. This afternoon in Essential Skills we did some CV building exercises which was quite good.
